Description

  • Go to TAGS»DARTS SAMPLE to carry out the following actions:
    • Review records tagged by a "DARTS SAMPLE Tag"
    • Remove individual records from a "DARTS SAMPLE Tag"
    • Delete the whole tag
    • Permanently delete tagged samples from DARTS
  • "DARTS Sample Tags" are always "private" access, only your "DARTS Sample Tags" are displayed.
  • Tag a DARTS database sample with a new or existing "DARTS Sample Tag" in DARTS»SEARCH. (Find out more...)
  • To find out more about using "DARTS Tags" and "DARTS Sample Tags", please also refer to the manual section on "DARTS Tags" versus "DARTS Sample Tags".

How to use this option

  • Select TAGS»DARTS SAMPLE from the 'GENica Marker Tools' menu.
  • A table with the "DARTS Sample Tags" you have previously created is displayed. The table can be sorted by the different column headers by clicking on them.
  • Click on one of the following links next to a tag to carry out one of these actions:
  1. [VIEW SAMPLES]: See the tagged records. in the DARTS»SEARCH interface, giving access to its "combine searches" feature, as well as its display and export options.
  2. [EDIT SAMPLE TAGS]: Remove records from a "DARTS Sample Tag". A new interface opens, select [UNTAG] next to the unwanted sample(s). This will only remove the tag from an entry, but won't delete it from the database.
  3. [DELETE TAG]: Delete a "DARTS Sample Tag". This removes the tag from all the database records, but won't delete them from the database.
  4. [DELETE SAMPLES]: Remove all the tagged samples permanently from the DARTS database.
IMPORTANT:

Deleting tagged samples with [DELETE SAMPLES] removes them permanently from the DARTS database.

  • To double-check which entries will be deleted, open a "DARTS Sample Tag" in DARTS»SEARCH and review the selected records on-line or after exporting them.
  • Only samples you actually have delete rights for can be deleted. For non-admin users, this means they can only delete data they have themself imported. Group administrators can delete data belonging to any of the users in the group(s) they administer. If a tag contains a mixture of entries a user does and doesn't have delete rights for, only the data they do have delete rights for will be deleted.
