Jbrueggemann 10:27, 21 November 2007 (WST)
Description
- Use MARKERS»ADD to add markers and the related allele size ranges to a marker set one at a time.
- To enter markers and related allele size ranges for several markers at a time, use MARKERS»IMPORT.
- To enter information for other fields in the MARKERS Table (e.g. regarding a marker's published name, primer information, etc.), use the MARKER DB IMPORT option, available to group administrators (go to ADMIN»MY GROUPS to find out who to contact if you are not a group administrator yourself).
| NOTE: With MARKERS»ADD, markers can only be added to mrtmarker or binner type marker sets. You can find out more about different "set types" in the manual section on MARKER SETS.
|
How to use this option
- In the MARKERS»ADD text box, enter the name of a new marker.
- From the "Marker Set" drop-down box, choose the marker set you want the new marker to belong to.
You can only choose marker sets you have yourself created. To create a new marker set, go to MARKERS»SETS and use the [ADD] option.
- Define allele size ranges by providing the minimum and the maximum allele size in bp.
- Click on the ADD LOCI button to define more than one allele size range for a marker.
