GMT Tutorial Exercise 6

Browse GEMDB

1. Select GEMDB, then select BROWSE to reach this interface, if necessary. Complete Exercise 5 first if no GEMDB data is yet available in GEMDB»BROWSE.
2. Spend a couple of minutes trying out the Browse interface where you can:
   • View, Edit, Delete or Add a Project, see the screenshot of the Project level below.
   • View , Edit or Delete the File(s)/Run(s) in each Project. Note that as data from two different runs was included in the example file ("2005-11-28_Plate1" and "2005-12-05_Plate1"), two runs were created.
   • View , Edit or Delete the Samples within a Run and the Markers screened on a Sample.
   • View , Edit or Delete the Alleles detected for a given Sample with a given Marker.

In GEMDB»BROWSE, the Project level displays a list of existing projects including project description, the user group that a project belongs to and whether the project is available to all user groups (i.e. public) or only to the group.
