GENica MARKER TOOLS TAGS
Log in to 'GENica Marker Tools'
Description
- "Tagging" a marker or a sample in 'GENica Marker Tools' is similar to adding a record to a "clip board" or a "marked list" and saving this "clip board" or "marked list" for future reference:
- Use a tag to group, retrieve and export data base entries.
- Use a tag to submit markers to one of the two available "BINNER" applications:
- BINNER»MRT TAGS uses MRTTM markers tagged with a "Markers Tag" or a "GEMDB Tag" as input for binnning.
- BINNER»SNP TAGS] uses SNP markers tagged with a Markers Tag" or a "SNPDB Tag" as iniput for binning.
- Submit tagged GEMDB entries as input to the GEMDB "Conflict Finder"
- Use tags to delete samples or markers from the genotype databases:
- Use "GEMDB Sample Tags" and "GEMDB Tags" to delete samples or markers from the GEMDB genotype database.
- Use "DARTS Sample Tags" and "DARTS Tags" to delete samples or markers from the DARTS genotype database.
- Use "SNPDB Sample Tags" and "SNPDB Tags" to delete samples or markers from the SNPDB genotype database.
- Use "Sample Tags" to update the "Species" entries for samples you have imported into one of the genotype databases:
- Use "GEMDB Sample Tags" to update the "Species" information for tagged GEMDB samples.
- Use "DARTS Sample Tags" to update the "Species" information for tagged DARTS samples.
- Use "SNPDB Sample Tags" to update the "Species" information for tagged SNPDB samples.
- Although a tagged entry remains in its original database location, it now also forms part of a tag. This allows grouping entries from different projects, marker sets, user groups, runs, etc., without having to save new "copies" of these entries in the database.
- To add a new or existing tag to markers or samples, please refer to the manual sections on:
- Tags are always "private" access; users can only view the tags they have themselves created.

- Click on the name of a tag to see the tagged records:
- "Marker Tags" automatically open in the MARKERS»SEARCH interface.
- "GEMDB Tags" and "GEMDB Sample Tags" automatically open in the GEMDB»SEARCH interface.
- "DARTS Tags" and "DARTS Sample Tags" automatically open in the DARTS»SEARCH interface.
- "SNPDB Tags" and "SNPDB Sample Tags" automatically open in the SNPDB»SEARCH interface.
