What are these data standards about?
- Information on these pages is directed at new and existing GENica CMAP map contributors, to communicate data standards that should apply to maps submitted to the GENica CMAP installations.

Who decides these standards?
- The standards presented here are decided by the GENica CMap leader. Wherever possible, they will be based on already existing standards, as referenced in the text.

Why are there different data standards for CMap Live and CMap Staging?
- GENica CMap Staging is a restricted access installation where users can refine and improve maps and/or prepare them for transfer to CMap Live. CMap Live is where high-quality maps are made publicly available. This is why different data standards apply to maps uploaded into CMap Live and Staging, with the standards being higher for maps that are published in CMap Live.

- If you find it difficult to prepare your data in the correct format, please contact the GENica CMap curator for advice.
- If for some reason any of the data standards outlined here should not apply to the data you would like to see included, please send your suggestions for improvements to the data standards or your requests for exceptions to the GENica CMap curator, who will present them to the GENica CMap leader.
