CMap

CMap is a web-based tool that allows users to view comparisons of genetic and physical maps. The CMap package also includes tools for curating map data. CMap was developed as part of the Generic Model Organism Project (GMOD).

GENica CMap

GENica CMap Live
(Public)
  • The GENica CMap Live installation contains genome maps of interest to MPBCRC, mainly for wheat and barley.
  • It is the first place where Australian wheat and barley maps curated in a GRDC-funded workshop led by Rudi Appels (project code GA17) are made publicly available, and contains "combined" maps, generated by Rudi Appels from Australian and international maps.
  • Maps presented in "Wheat Curated" and "Barley Curated" are the most up-to-date versions of both the curated and the composite maps; "Wheat" and "Barley" contain earlier map versions and maps still being refined, as well as the component maps that were used to generate "composite maps".
  • MPBCRC participants can suggest maps to be added to CMap Live. Please refer to:
GENica CMap Staging
(Password required)
  • Curation and exchange of maps in GENica CMap are supported by a unique restricted-access "staging" installation. Staging users can import their own maps, generate composite maps, and prepare maps to meet the CMap Live data standards before transfer to CMap Live. For maps in CMap Staging, the "GENica CMap Staging Data Standards" should be followed.
  • MPBCRC participants requiring staging access should contact the GENica CMap curator.

LegumeDB CMap

LegumeDB CMap (Public)
  • LegumeDB CMap offers access to legume maps, including the first gene-based map of Lupinus angustifolius.
LegumeDB CMap Staging
(Password required)
  • A restricted access "staging version" exists for LegumeDB CMap. Staging users can import their own maps for curation and exchange. Staging access can be given to selected users, please contact the CCG for details.
